The HEROs: Song of the Year

Fall Out Boy: Sugar, We're Going Down

There is no doubt in my mind what the song of the year was.
Fall Out Boy had a breakout year and this song dominated the
radio with it's catchier than sphyillis chorus and quick to recall
lyrics. I have been a fan of these guys for a couple of years and
I am glad to see all the success they have had this year.

The reason why i picked this song is because it is by far the best on their new album. It is pure pop perfection. Notice how i said pop perfection because this isn't punk, or emo, or screamo. This is the new pop music. I got an early rip of this song back in february and i haven't stopped listening to it since then. Patrick's voice on this track is just sweet candy and you actually believe the words that he is saying and soon you find yourself singing and moving along with the beat. It is such a simple formula and i was a little sad when it caught on like it did but i am glad to see a band that i dutifully support making it big and breaking into the mainstream. Good luck and i hope for more great hits in the futre.

the beginning of the end of the year....

well everyone the year is coming to the end. that means that everyone is making their year end best of type lists and analyzing the year that was 2005. i unfortunately am going to do the same but instead of just delving into it i am going to make it into different installments. therefore i have my creation, which are my awards that i call the Heroes.....these are the bands, movies, events that have impacted my life throughout this year. look for these installments over the next couple of days.

if i was to be able to summarize 2005 in one word it is drama. this was the year in which i went through three break ups, lots of drama, lots of responsibility, and other various types of crap. i have been half drunk for most of the year and depressed for the other half. but here i am waiting for this next year and wondering where i have been and why the hell i can't remember half of it. i will save everyone the trouble of analyzing what i have and haven't done. i am just going to say get ready for this next year because this year sucked. next year will be unbelievably interesting. i graduate in may, i move next summer, and a whole lot of other shit is gonna go down. bring it on bitch.
